This Data Processing Addendum sets out the terms on which Wonder Accounts (Pty) Ltd processes personal information as an operator on behalf of a business customer under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). The customer is the responsible party and Wonder Accounts processes personal information only on the customer's documented instructions. The addendum describes the subject matter, duration, nature and purpose of processing, the categories of data subjects and personal information, and confirms that special personal information is not required. It sets out the operator's obligations, the customer's obligations, security and confidentiality measures, the authorised sub-processors, safeguards for cross-border transfers under section 72 of POPIA, assistance with data subject rights, breach notification under section 22, audit rights, and the return or deletion of personal information. Liability is subject to the limitation in the Terms of Service, and the addendum is governed by South African law. Businesses can request a signed copy by emailing privacy@wonderaccounts.co.za, and electronic signatures have full legal effect under ECTA sections 13 and 22. Wonder Accounts does not sell customer data and does not use it to train AI models.
