Wonder Accounts (Pty) Ltd processes personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). This privacy policy explains the categories of personal information the AI accounting platform collects, including account and identity details, business and financial records, payment and billing information, communications, and limited technical and usage data. It explains why the information is processed, who it is shared with, how long it is kept, and the rights available to data subjects. Wonder Accounts does not sell personal information and does not use customer data to train AI models. Personal information and business records are hosted in South Africa by default, on infrastructure in the AWS Cape Town region, with encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access control and row-level security. Where information is transferred outside South Africa, section 72 of POPIA is complied with and contractual safeguards are put in place. Data subjects may access, correct, delete, export or object to the processing of their personal information, withdraw consent, and complain to the Information Regulator.
